Built in 1313, Varenna church is as traditional as they come and its facade is enriched by a big stone carved fresco portraying Saint Christopher. Varenna church is situated just back from the lake front in the middle of the old and beautiful town of Varenna. The town’s cobbled streets, old steep steps and picturesque lake promenade are perfect for those romantic and quaint wedding photographs. The walk from any one of the boat ports to the church is truly breathtaking.
Up to 200 guests can be seated here as it is possible for the church to add a large number of chairs in the open space at each side.
There are many hotels and self catering villas within easy reach.
The nearest boat port is a short walk away.
It is not possible to have exclusive use of the church as its doors are always open.
